The Very First Circus

For Preschoolers! Movement, music, and interactive fun based on Aesop’s fable The Lion and The Mouse. Join us at the circus and play along.

Look forward to plenty of music, movement, and interactive fun in this brand new play experience for the youngest audiences.

The Very First Circus by Erin Michell combines a lively participatory performance alongside engaging Stay & Play workshop activities. Larry the Lion dreams of performing under the Big Top. But he can't do it by himself, he needs his neighbours to join in! As Larry searches the jungle for other animals to perform dazzling circus tricks, the audience is asked to participate in acts of balance and bravery, too. An intimate and participatory performance for Preschoolers and Primary Grades to celebrate friendship, overcoming our fears, and reaching for new heights.

Written and directed by Erin Michell

Featuring original music and lyrics composed by Macmillan Hunter.
